Suna Fujita Ceramics

Joyful color, whimsical details, and shimmering metallics arrive for the festive season, in a magical Holiday collection that celebrates superlative materials and meticulous craft.

This season, Creative Director Jonathan Anderson has reprised LOEWE’s collaboration with Kyoto-based ceramist duo Suna Fujita, with the husband and wife team creating a new series of original illustrations and ceramics, traveling through childlike dreamscapes. Playful creatures–from the depths of the ocean to verdant meadows and the far reaches of outer space–become main characters on bags, ready-to-wear, and accessories. An octopus and a squid dance around Flamenco and Hammock bags, and a magnificent whale glides over Puzzle and Pebble Bucket bags, all crafted in intricate leather marquetry and aquatic color palettes. Hopping bunnies and mischievous hamsters adorn signature bags in earthy and verdant hues. The same sweet animals are brought to life across small leather goods, straps, pouches, and soft accessories with embroideries, graphic prints, and sparkling crystals.

Elsewhere Puzzle and Flamenco bags, debut in new materials including tactile deerskin, vibrant knit, and metallics. In ready-to-wear sumptuous coats, puffer bombers and workwear jackets become the ultimate statement pieces; soft nappa calf and shearling bring an enveloping cosy texture to the season’s outerwear. For women, fluid dresses and festive iterations of the Petal Bow shoe in metallic calf or rhinestones and the Toy line in silver nappa add a sleek sensuality after dark.

Echoing the spirit of the collection, LOEWE’s holiday campaign is a celebration of imagination and craft; handmade scenes will bring the collection’s whimsical characters to life in animated and transportive festive windows complete with twinkling lights. Mesmerizing holiday facades and a handcrafted, mechanical puppet film, draw inspiration from fantasy, memory, and the wonders of the natural world. Seasonal pop-ups will also celebrate the collection at selected LOEWE stores and department stores.
