Art on the Go is a dynamic initiative by Kampo Artes Gallery to expand its artistic horizons and reach a broader audience beyond its home gallery. This group exhibition is a vibrant departure from the conventional, focusing on showcasing the craft-based work of thirty-seven (37) artists. It’s currently on view until 10 December 2023 at ArtistSpace located at Ground Level, Ayala Museum Annex, Makati Avenue corner De La Rosa Street, Greenbelt Park, Makati City.

The essence of Art on the Go lies in its emphasis on craft, bringing forth an array of work that is not only visually engaging but also readily accessible to the audience. Throughout the history of art, artists have consistently explored various mediums to broaden their creative repertoire and establish connections with audiences who may not typically engage with fine art.

In this exhibition, the spotlight is on the artistry inherent in everyday objects, which are often overlooked in the realm of fine art. From decorative pieces to tabletop sculptures and even napkin holders, these objects bridge the gap between functionality and visual delight. They serve as a tangible reminder of how art can be a part of our daily lives, making the ordinary extraordinary.

One distinctive feature of this exhibition is the affordability of the objects on display, allowing the audience to readily take home a piece of art that resonates with them. It's a direct invitation for art to become an integral part of people's lives, breaking down the barriers that can sometimes exist between art and its potential audience.

This showcase provides a fascinating contrast to the concurrent Pagtanaw exhibition at Kampo Artes Gallery, which focuses on traditional art forms. Here, viewers are treated to a whimsical, functional, and emotionally evocative journey, where artists' imaginations breathe life into everyday objects, transforming them into something more meaningful and beautiful. Art on the Go, as envisioned by Kampo Artes Gallery, offers an exciting and accessible entry point for a diverse audience into the world of art, underscoring how creativity knows no boundaries and how the artistic spirit can enrich the everyday, turning the mundane into the something magical.

The thirty-seven (37) exhibiting artists are: Andreian Espanto, Anita del Rosario, Augie Michael Domalaon, Alex A. Ayco, Billie Jean, Catherine Choachuy, Chiz Cueva, Cristina "Nang" Pineda, Dan Ivan Sepelagio, Domeng Cruz, Edgar San Diego, Emmanuel Miranda, Honey Maglalang, Hum, Janice Samson, Jaycel Musnit, Jed Aralca, Jeff Cabrera, Jeri Jumao-as, Joen Sudlon, Joezer, John Michael Abad, Karl Lago, Kenneth Batubatan, Kent Aluyog, Maria Pureza Escaño, Marrielle Cortes, Mark Hernandez, Oman Santos, Patrick Pura, Ren Barredo, Revelie Bueno, Rey Labarento, Roomel Catapang, Taichi Kondo, Vincent Diñoso, and Wil Magsino.
