Jaime Velasquez Park in Makati City once again came alive with creativity, color, and community spirit as it hosted Art in the Park last Sunday, March 23. As one of the country’s most anticipated and beloved affordable art fairs, it showcased a lively and enriching experience for art lovers while supporting a purposeful and noble cause.

Affordable, accessible, and exceptional art

Art in the Park showed its strong dedication to making art accessible to the public. With all artworks tagged with a P70,000 price cap, the fair offered an exceptional opportunity for art enthusiasts to acquire art pieces without breaking their wallets.

With 61 exhibitors, including galleries, collectives, and independent art spaces, showcasing their works, the fair created a diverse and rich tapestry of Filipino creativity, making Art in the Park a beloved event among seasoned collectors, first-time buyers, and art enthusiasts.

A full-sensory experience

While the highlight of the event is the art on display, the fair was also dedicated to providing a vibrant and engaging atmosphere that encourages a sense of community. Aside from the creative pieces, the park buzzed with live music, featuring the soulful harmonies of Leanne and Naar, and an all-vinyl DJ set by Mario Serrano of EST City, perfect for those who appreciate a laid-back yet energizing vibe. Soulful Mood also provided easy jazz music to offer a relaxed and enjoyable day.

The fair is not complete without the wide selection of food and beverages from local shops, offering everything from snacks to sit-down meals. You can find anything that you’ve craved for, from something sweet, savory, and refreshing.

A cause worth supporting

The fair highlighted a selection of Filipino artists whose works stand out for their innovation and cultural significance, such as multimedia visual artist TRNZ, contemporary mixed-media artist AR Manalo, and designer and artist Carlo Tanseco.

At its heart, Art in the Park remains steadfast with its mission to support the Museum Foundation of the Philippines and its initiatives for the National Museum of the Philippines and its network. The event helped to fund programs and projects that preserve and promote the country’s rich cultural heritage. By attending Art in the Park, visitors not only enjoyed an enriching cultural experience but also contributed to the vital work of safeguarding Filipino history and art for future generations.

With its exciting blend of culture, art, and entertainment, Art in the Park is more than just an art fair—it's a celebration of creativity, talent, and culture that make the Philippines unique and vibrant.
